Movu - Brand & Product Films

5 films. 72 CG shots. Lots of web and brand assets. And all in 8 weeks! - I Ioved taking on the role of CG & Motion Director for this one.

Having just reimagined Stow Robotics as Movu, BBH London engaged me to bring the brand to life in motion. We created a film to tell the Movu story and to introduce the new brand, as well as several product films to showcase each of their autonomous robots.

I developed a bold vision for the films. I sharpened the script, made sense of the many different resources (media, stock footage, CG, design), and shaped a cohesive visual language to express the new brand in a dynamic, meaningful, and engaging way.

I pulled together a crack team of CG artists from my network alongside creatives from BBH, Nick Gill and Chris Curran were the awesome creative directors.

Credit for the success of the project really goes to the impressive collaboration between the CG team, motion designers, storyboard artist, creative directors, audio guys and the producers and account managers at BBH. I’m really proud of these films, and it was a pleasure working with BBH London.

“I didn't know how we were going to tell the story of these industrial robots in a way that didn't feel like a science lesson. But Paul’s stunningly beautiful and witty animation really lifted this film off the screen… He was operating under a lot of pressure and to difficult time lines, but was always warm and accommodating, receptive to ideas and perfectionist in his approach”.

CG Motion & Art Direction

I began my journey as a digital illustrator over 20 years ago and later transitioned into CG and Motion Design. I remain hands-on, using these skills to create style frames, storyboards, art direction, motion and CG tests. This expertise not only strengthens my directorial work, but also fuels independent projects.

My main collaborators are branding and design agencies. I am committed to staying technologically advanced, continuously adopting the latest plugins and AI software to enhance my work. Click the GIF on the right to see my hands-on CG and Motion work.
